Job overview

We are seeking dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistants to join our team at Cadbury College on a permanent, full-time, term-time only contract.

In this role, you will provide direct support to students with a range of high and complex needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their goals. This will include working with students who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), behavioural challenges, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Please note: Salaries are pro rata and based on term-time weeks and contracted hours. The advertised salary reflects the full academic year.

Key Responsibilities

In this rewarding role, you will be supporting students with complex needs (SEN), where the ability to build trusting relationships is key. You'll need to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and have experience in administrative tasks. Most importantly, you must be confident and comfortable with providing all aspects of personal care. A genuine interest in teaching and a commitment to improving students' lives are essential for success in this role.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

To be considered, you must hold at least a GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of the diverse needs of students in a Further Education setting and how these needs can impact progress and achievement.

You'll be adaptable and resilient, with a strong desire to make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of our students. Your classroom and behaviour management skills will be well-developed, and you'll be capable of working with learners who have a wide range of emotional and physical needs.
