Highly successful Property Company require experienced Accounts Manager, for a newly created role, within the expanding commercial property division in Weybridge, Surrey.
About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will take full responsibility for the collection of rents from commercial tenants and ensure the prompt payment of all associated property charges. Key duties include:
* Credit Control - debt collection for commercial rent, working to strict collection targets
* Accounts Payable - Administration & payment of property costs including service charges & utilities
* Recharging property cost to the tenant when required.
* Loading new tenant leases onto the system
* Posting monthly account adjustments as authorised by the Asset Manager
* Responsible for sending out monthly tenant statements
* Producing tenant invoicing via the in house Property Management System
* Customer cash allocation and completing account reconciliations
* Processing daily and weekly BACS payments
* Splitting rent and other charges across multiple tenants
* Managing insurance recharges and late payment fees.
* Maintaining service charge accounts and reconciliations
* Maintain a payment schedule to ensure that water, electricity, gas and rates and taxes are paid on time
* Key point of contact for tenant queries
* Liaise with project team and asset manager for the handover of units from development to management
* Liaise with Financial team for monthly close off and statement run
About you
* You will have proven experience as an Accounts Manager with experience of both Credit Control and Accounts Payable
* Applicants must have strong administrative skills and good attention to detail
* Property experience is advantageous however not essential for the right person
