Job Description
Securitas partners with UK Fire Services to deliver vital Fire Resilience Call Handling Capability during major incidents, industrial actions, adverse weather, and other emergencies that could impact staff availability. We are currently recruiting for this casual role which is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of professionals and experts. You will receive all the training you need. The Role
Provide additional support to the Fire Service during staff shortages, including strike action, to ensure a prompt fire response is maintained and accessible to the public at all times. Mobilise resources to incidents promptly, gather information, liaise with services and agencies, and record incident information accurately.
Responsibilities
* Ensure Fire 999 calls are answered promptly within the set service level agreement.
* Answer calls professionally, taking control of the conversation to obtain all relevant information for correct resource activation.
* Handle calls of a sensitive nature with integrity and empathy, remaining on the call until the fire service arrives.
* Record all details accurately and timely into the system/database, ensuring fast and precise data entry.
* Confirm key information with the caller to ensure accuracy, especially location and incident nature.
* Use system information (maps, incident types, building data) to pinpoint locations and dispatch correct resources.
* Maintain radio communication with fire crews to support requests for additional resources or information.
* Assist all parties in incident management, updating external authorities or other emergency services as required.
* Log all incident information received via the radio system accurately in the relevant system.
