What will the role involve? You will source, create and publish informative, accurate and shareable Whats On content about restaurants, bars, eating, drinking, days out, shopping, walks, gigs, events, family fun and everything else, with great pictures, and engaging videos. You will engage our readers and develop interactive content formats which set us apart from our rivals. All while ensuring that every piece of content is researched and published in accordance with the Editors Code of practice. You will be confident using a range of digital formats and quickly identify breaking news by utilising social media. Who are we looking for? A journalist with your NCTJ or equivalent qualification and media law knowledge, you have the ability to be bold, confident and to be comfortable meeting people face to face, whilst able to communicate excellent reviews and deals, and develop a strong contacts book. You have first rate editing, writing and subbing skills, relish the test of working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Youre social media savvy with current SEO knowledge and ideally you're familiar with newsroom analytics and content management systems.
