Responsibilities
* Work independently and with team members to disassemble, inspect, conduct minor repairs, assemble, and modify gas turbine engines, turbines, accessories, and support systems.
* Adhere to detailed work instructions and procedures assigned by the supervisor and monitored by a quality inspector.
* Acquire personal tools and hardware to perform the work. Specialized tools provided by Sulzer.
* Operate instrumentation to perform pressure and flow tests.
* Review all phases of tasks, as specified by work instructions, to perform self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
* Inspect, operate, and maintain shop equipment, facilities, and support systems.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED
* Up to 3 months of hands-on jet engine mechanic experience
* 1+ year experience in Diesel or Aviation Engine Repair
* A&P License or Military Equivalent Experience
* Formal training in power plant mechanics and operation
