About The Role
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work in the social housing sector, supporting a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the community.
This role involves assisting the Commercial & General Manager with commercial control, reporting on high-standard commercial activities related to housing properties, and maintaining safety, quality, and cost standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of contract costs, budgets, and value analysis, including timely production of CVRs, valuations, variations, final accounts, and invoicing, in line with company policies and budgets.
* Process valuation certificates and documentation efficiently to ensure income recovery, and prepare contractual documentation according to contract conditions and company procedures.
* Oversee subcontractor processes, including placing orders, certification, and payments, following company protocols.
* Perform pre and post-contract duties such as pricing, measurement, interim applications, and final accounts, adhering to company procedures.
* Monitor KPIs, subcontractor performance, and internal processes.
* Maintain professional communication with stakeholders, uphold health & safety standards, and represent the company positively.
* Follow policies, maintain company assets, and undertake additional duties as required, including attending meetings and training.
Role Criteria
* Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, especially in social housing or main contracting roles.
* Knowledge of pricing agreements, frameworks, NHF Schedule of Rates, and measurement and valuation processes.
* Financial reporting, data analysis skills, and proficiency in Excel and Word.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
