Experience required…
Essential:
8. Support an experienced Highways Inspector to drive to various sites
9. Support an experience highways inspector and provide support on site whilst undertaking surveys / assessment of highways assets as required
10. Have clean UK driving licence and be able to travel to the depots as required. A Chapter 8 marked van will be provided by the client to visit sites.
11. Excellent inter-personal and customer service skills, be able to deal with a range of issues and conflicting demands whilst adhering to relevant legislation
12. Ability to deliver to tight deadlines and keeping calm under pressure
13. Demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Desirable
14. Have some understanding of highway maintenance
15. Be willing to learn and develop a career in highways maintenance
16. Working knowledge of Microsoft including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, SharePoint and safety inspection systems such as CONFIRM
17. Awareness of relevant legislation and codes of practice such as Highways Act 1980 and Well Managed Highway Infrastructure
