Chef – £15.50 per hour – Weekly Pay
Start Date: 10th August 2025
Contract:6- Months (possible extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | 5 days out of 7 | Every other weekend
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Chef to join our clients team. The role is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week across a 7-day rota, including every other weekend. Days off are provided during the week when weekends are worked.
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday:
* 8:00am – 4:00pm
* 10:30am – 6:30pm
* 1:00pm – 9:00pm
Saturday and/or Sunday:
* 7:30am – 9:00pm (can be worked as one long shift or split across both days)
Key Duties & Responsibilities for a Chef:
* Preparing and cooking meals in line with pre-set menus and dietary requirements
* Batch cooking to ensure consistent quality and portion control
* Following standardised recipes and procedures
* Ensuring food is prepared and served safely, meeting all food hygiene standards
* Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
* Monitoring stock levels and informing the relevant person of any shortages
* Adhering to all health and safety and food safety regulations
* Working both independently and as part of a small team
Requirements for a Chef:
* Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (essential)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to location)
* Previous experience working in a similar chef or cook role
* Strong understanding of food hygiene, allergen management, and safe food handling
* Ability to follow structured menus and recipes confidently
