Community Care Assistant - Elderly Care
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Community Care Assistants to provide support for elderly individuals on an ad-hoc, weekend basis. This is a flexible role ideal for those who enjoy making a real difference in people's lives while maintaining work-life balance.
About the Role
As a Community Care Assistant, you will provide personalised care and support to elderly clients in their own homes or community settings. Weekend shifts are available, and schedules are flexible based on availability and demand.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, and mobility support
* Support clients with meal preparation and feeding if required
* Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting wellbeing and dignity
* Assist with light household tasks as needed
* Follow care plans and report any changes in client health or behaviour
* Ensure safety and comfort of clients at all times
* Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided
Requirements
* Previous experience in elderly or community care preferred but not essential
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable approach to care
* Flexibility to work weekends on an ad-hoc basis
* Good communication skills and ability to work independently
* Basic understanding of health and safety in a care environment
