Role: Support Worker

Where will I be working?
You will work at our service in Broadstairs, supporting 4 individuals. We provide a 24-hour supported living facility tailored to enable independence for adults with Learning Disabilities. Support Workers are assigned to work with specific individuals based on shared preferences and personalities, forming bespoke core teams. We are recruiting primarily for one individual at this service.
Support activities include meeting with friends or family, accessing health professionals, housework, shopping, day trips, cooking, holidays, and indoor activities like playing with dolls, makeup, building life skills, and fostering independence.
Female support worker required. Driver preferred. Experience working with individuals with autism and learning disabilities is essential.
Our clients have diverse communication, mobility, and health needs, creating a quiet yet active environment. The location offers easy access to local transport, the town, and the seaside.
Shift Pattern:
This is a 24-hour service requiring flexibility. Shifts vary from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:00/3:00 pm, 2:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00 pm, including sleep-ins or waking nights, and some weekends. Working hours may vary across services.
** Sleep-ins are not required in all services.
*** Not all colleagues will work overtime; potential earnings may differ.
Role Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
This hands-on role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring safety and well-being. Duties include:
* Supporting daily living activities like cleaning, cooking, outings, and holidays
* Organizing activities within the home and community
* Developing residents' life skills and interests
* Helping residents stay safe and healthy
* Assisting with personal care and medication
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring
