Role: Senior M&E Project Engineer
Location: North West London
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Car / Car Allowance + Package
Contract Type: Permanent
The role
As Senior Project Engineer, youll be responsible for the successful delivery of the electrical or mechanical elements of the project, ensuring they are completed to spec, on time and within budget.
You will:
Lead the engineering delivery of assigned MEP packages on the HS2 power upgrade project
Champion Health & Safety across all activities, reinforcing a safety first culture
Work with pre-contract teams to support pre-commencement planning and governance
Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, putting in place effective mitigation
Re-engineer and value-engineer installations to meet client requirements and optimise profitability
Provide clear progress, programme and financial updates to project and commercial teams
Ensure compliance with internal procedures, industry standards and statutory regulations
Lead and motivate project teams, setting expectations and managing performance
Build strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders to support smooth delivery
Oversee project close-out, ensuring quality, commercial and compliance objectives are met
About you
Were keen to hear from candidates who:
Have delivered major projects with an electrical or mechanical building services / MEP background
Bring experience from a construction, infrastructure or manufacturing environment
Are confident leading teams and engaging with multiple stakeholders on live projects
Understand risk management, compliance and the commercial aspects of project delivery
Are proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable challenging the status quo to improve outcomes
Are committed to high quality, continuous improvement and best practice in engineering delivery
Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services or similar) and professional memberships are desirable but not essential if you have strong, proven experience.
