Job Title: Commercial Account Executive
Salary: £55K - £65K + bonus
Location: Portsmouth / Hybrid (regional client visits as required)

They are now looking to expand their commercial lines team and are seeking a Commercial Insurance Executive to help grow their portfolio across sectors such as property, trades, SMEs, and professional services. What You’ll Be Doing
Prospecting, identifying, and converting new commercial business across sectors including manufacturing, trades, property, SMEs, and professional services
Managing and developing your own pipeline, focusing on sustainable, high-quality clients
Conducting risk assessments, fact-finds, and designing tailored insurance programmes
Preparing and submitting market presentations, quotes, and negotiating terms with underwriters
Working closely with the servicing and claims teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and retention
Keeping up to date with industry trends, product innovations, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements
Representing the brokerage at local events and engaging with business networks in the Portsmouth region
Consistently achieving or exceeding targets in a supportive, growth-oriented environment
What You’ll Need
Proven experience in commercial insurance sales, broking, or account management
Strong track record of meeting sales or income targets
Excellent communication, networking, and negotiating skills
Ability to work autonomously, managing your day, pipeline, and client interactions
Personable, professional presence that clients enjoy working with
Desirable: CII qualification (or working towards it)
Familiarity with broking systems (e.g., Acturis) is advantageous
