Responsibilities
:
1. Multi-drop – within City Centre locations and country wide
2. To provide an effective, efficient and flexible service to all suppliers, customers and colleagues through carrying out all functions relating to driving duties, including timely deliveries, accurate administration and adherence to EU Transport Legislation
3. To check and complete all invoices and paperwork on time & in spec
4. To check & report loads / products and vehicles for defects
5. To build excellent customer relationships
6. To communicate effectively with Transport Office
7. Vehicles to be maintained in a roadworthy condition with any defects being reported to the supervisor on a daily basis
8. To adhere to all Health & Safety legislation
9. Ensure route and customer knowledge
10. To adhere to assigned route schedule
11. Flexibility is required for this role
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Essential:
12. Full clean C class Licence
13. CPC Qualification
14. Good geographical knowledge of surrounding area
15. Knowledge of EU Transport Legislation
16. Excellent communication skills
17. Ability to work to set deadlines and to self-motivate
18. Ability to work on own initiative
19. Excellent customer service skills
20. Good product knowledge
Desirable:
21. 6 months experience in a similar role
22. Manual Handling Certification
