Job Description:
Northstone, a leading manufacturer and supplier of building materials in Northern Ireland, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Graduate to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Operations Manager and participate in a two-year graduate development programme aimed at developing technical, interpersonal, commercial, and management skills.
The programme begins in September 2025 and offers hands-on experience, engagement with the Ibec Academy (accredited by TU Dublin), a Professional Diploma in Leadership and Competence, mentorship from senior leaders, and opportunities to develop technical and operational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Learn and understand the operation and maintenance of mobile and fixed plant and equipment.
2. Participate in process projects focused on sustainability and efficiency improvements.
3. Prepare technical drawings and documentation.
4. Maintain and enhance health, safety, and environmental standards.
5. Coordinate and oversee maintenance and upgrade operations under management guidance.
6. Communicate effectively with employees and contractors.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Relevant third-level qualification in Electrical / Building Services / Automation Engineering or similar.
2. Team player with a positive attitude.
3. Clean driving license.
4. Good interpersonal skills.
5. Proactive, organized, results-driven, and self-motivated.
6. Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Ability to meet strict deadlines.
9. Strong computer literacy; proficiency in AutoCAD or similar is desirable but not essential.
