Job Summary:
Venesky Brown is looking for an Interface Team Project Manager to work within the Interface Team of Sizewell C in Suffolk. Sizewell C (SZC) is one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Job Role:
The purpose of the role is to assist the SZC Interface Manager in their duties managing the interface with SZB (and A) to reduce the risks to Nuclear Safety, Security and SZB Operations commensurate with SZC desired design and construction progress.
Responsibilities:
* To assist with the management of the Interfaces with SZB (ENGL) and SZA (Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS)) to support the SZC desired Design and Construction programme while not impacting on SZB (or A) Operations and Safety Cases.
* To ensure that SZC complies with the Operational Protections Agreement (OPA).
Knowledge & Skills Requirement:
Essential:
* Experience of successfully engaging groups of stakeholders
* Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, change management and facilitation.
* Must have experience working on large complex highly regulated projects.
* Credible demonstrable leadership and influencing skills and experience.
* A detailed understanding of the requirements and arrangements needed to deliver compliance with permits, licences and consents.
* An understanding of the challenges faced through site preparation works, construction, installation and commissioning of complex engineering project, ensuring manufactured as specified and built as designed.
* General professional qualities such as accuracy, attention to detail, tenacity, result-oriented, the ability to work well within a team. Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and be pro-active.
* Strong assurance and challenge skills with excellent communication/interpersonal skills notably with various levels of the organisation and externally.
* Discretion - Confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
Desirable:
* Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks
* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations
* Understanding the needs of nuclear quality and how nuclear quality is assured and controlled.
* Understand how to apply a graded approach to quality
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
* Experience in a technical or engineering discipline.
* Extensive experience both client and principal contractor managing issues on a large infrastructure/engineering project (or similar) extensive on-site experience, knowledge of nuclear, construction and commissioning activities, approaches, standards and expectations.
Desirable:
* Experience of developing and leading strong relationships with the regulators and other public bodies, experience of delivery of regulatory commitments would be an advantage.
* Experience in a highly regulated industry would be an advantage.
* Experience in managing the implementation of regulatory commitments.
* Experience of driving the implementation and embedding of management arrangements.
