The Water Consultancy Division is Mott MacDonald’s centre of excellence for responding to water and wastewater challenges, offering fantastic opportunities to get involved in diverse and technically challenging work.
Overview Of The Role
After recent major water project successes, we have growing opportunities for technical project managers with an engineering background across our UK offices within our multidisciplinary Water Consultancy Division.

 * Desalination
 * Irrigation
 * Hydropower
 * Flood defence
Responsibilities
 * Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of projects to time, quality and budget
 * Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
 * Contributing to project governance reviews
 * Design and quality management of deliverables
 * Commercial and contractual management
 * Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
 * Contributing to the management and development of the project delivery team
Candidate Specification
This role will suit candidates with experience and interest in the following:
 * Relevant technical degree, Chartered engineer or nearing chartership with membership of an appropriate professional body
Essential Criteria
 * Project management, project delivery and leadership experience
 * Experience of delivering large, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, ideally in the water sector
 * Working as part of multi-disciplinary design teams at various stages in the project lifecycle
 * Undertaking studies, concept, preliminary and detailed design
 * Interfacing and engaging with clients and other stakeholders
 * Strong communication skills, including writing reports and presenting
 * Proactive approach, with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios
 * Understanding of the importance of prioritising health, safety, and environmental issues
 * Digital capability
 * Commercial acumen and knowledge of project planning and controls
Desirable Criteria
 * APM PMQ, MAPM or equivalent
 * NEC accreditation
 * Design and build experience
 * Knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations and responsibilities
