Job summary
We're seeking a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist with a passion for neuro rehabilitation to join the team at Walkergate Park. Our specialist neurological service is comprised of dedicated inpatient and community multi-disciplinary teams. The post is rotational and will involve working in inpatients at Walkergate Park and the community Regional Disability Team/Multiple Sclerosis Team. The post could also include some work into the regional affective disorder service based at St Nicholas Hospital.
The successful candidates will be supported to develop their neuro physiotherapy skills in order to provide specialist physiotherapy assessmentand rehabilitation for patients with complex neurological conditions. The successful candidates will provide rehabilitation to patients from acrossthe region, who present with a range of neurological conditions including Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Guillain-Barre syndrome and MultipleSclerosis. The service has a robust supervision structure and the post holders will benefit from access to regular in service training to supportdevelopment of their specialist skills.
For this post you will need to be HCPC registered with a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy and have relevant experience in neuro rehabilitation. You will have knowledge of a range of neurological conditions and an understanding of the rehabilitation process.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the specialist assessment, management and physiotherapy service provision for service users who have a variety of complex physiotherapy needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health, learning disabilities and / or Neurological conditions.
To manage and provide on-going specialist physiotherapy assessment andtreatment using evidence based practice.
The post holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that thismaximises independence and promotes recovery and wellbeing.
To facilitate the delivery of Physiotherapy Student Education within the clinical setting.
To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
To provide clinical supervision and leadership to staff as delegated by the team lead
