The purpose of this role is to ensure the procurement of assigned raw materials and packaging categories is in line with P rocurement /Su pply Chain best practice, company guidelines, site quality and cost–effective commercial targets. Acco untable for global strategy decisions in sourcing, establis hing and managing budget /commercials, performance measures and business goals for the direct sourcing of raw materials and packaging for the site. Job Responsibilities The following responsibilities are associated with this job role but are not limited to: Develop & maintain strategic supplier relationships for assigned categories (chemical raw materials and packaging) Provide regular cost and purchasing ‑ trend insights to internal stakeholders while ensuring SAP pricing data remains current and monitoring global market pricing to identify risks and opportunities. Monitor supplier performance, communicate rankings to suppliers to drive continuous improvement, and deliver regular reports to internal stakeholders. E ffective co-ordination of essential site purchasing activities, global contracts & purchasing continuous improvement projects. Responsible for d irect material & packaging suppliers, manag ing negotiations & contracting issues and quality assessment s Developing & est ablishing new r elationship s with strategic raw material suppliers Define and manage the s upplier p erformance reviews including audits (ISO 9000) Conduct regular supplier review meetings and improve the current supplier rating criteria process Responsible for ensuring adherence and compliance to global purchasing processes and standards Support management and departmental teams in the periodic business audits and updating of all procedures, including the identification of critical procedures Contribute to site wide Healthy and Safety goals by engaging in all aspects of the Health and Safety training.
