Job Description: Topographical Surveyor
Position Overview: Responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all topographical surveying activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of precision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning & Coordination:
* Coordinate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project needs and objectives.
* Plan and organise topographical surveys, setting timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
* Determine the survey method, equipment, and techniques best suited to each project.
* Technical Oversight:
* Ensure that the surveying equipment is in proper working order and calibrated as necessary.
* Review and approve data, maps, and other outputs generated by the team.
* Troubleshoot and solve any issues that may arise during surveying activities.
* Quality Assurance:
* Establish and enforce quality standards and protocols for topographical surveys.
* Periodically audit survey processes and results for accuracy and precision.
* Ensure all survey activities comply with specifications.
* Reporting & Documentation:
* Prepare and present reports on survey findings to clients and stakeholders.
* Document all surveying activities, maintaining a comprehensive archive of data, maps, drawings, and related materials.
* Client Relations:
* Maintain open communication with clients throughout the survey process, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
* Respond to client queries, feedback, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
* Continuous Improvement:
* Stay updated with the latest developments in topographical surveying techniques, tools, and software.
* Recommend and implement improvements to internal processes and practices.
* Safety & Compliance:
* Ensure that all survey activities are conducted safely, with strict adherence to safety procedures.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
