Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements: Degree in electronic engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial automation, systems engineering, or software development environments Strong experience in PLC programming (IEC 61131-3 standards) Experience with platforms such as CODESYS (or similar) Ability to design and implement complex control systems involving PLCs, sensors, and actuators Experience with real-time system debugging, control loop tuning, and signal processing Familiarity with telematics, HMI integration, or vehicle/system communication tools (e.g. CAN-based tools) Strong understanding of system architecture and integration Experience maintaining documentation such as wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and I/O configurations Ability to follow structured engineering processes and quality standards Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsibilities: Design, program, and implement PLC-based control systems Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate software into wider electrical and mechanical architectures System programming, debugging, testing, and optimisation Ensure reliability and performance across all applications Contribute to system improvements, troubleshooting, and documentation Support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions aligned with industry standards Technologies: CODESYS Support PLC Hardware More: We are a leading engineering and industrial automation organization, seeking to drive innovation, safety, and efficiency through advanced automation technologies.
