Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a live construction project in Brighton. This is a 4–5 month contract role, ideal for a reliable engineer with strong site experience who can hit the ground running.
Equipment is not required — all setting-out equipment will be provided.
Key Responsibilities

Setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
*
Ensuring accuracy and quality of setting-out for all site activities.
*
Working closely with the site management team and subcontractors.
*
Checking levels, lines, and dimensions on site.
*
Assisting with quality control and ensuring works are delivered to programme.
*
Reporting progress and issues to the Site/Project Manager.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on construction projects.
*
Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and site procedures.
*
Ability to work independently and manage setting-out activities on site.
*
Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
*
CSCS card required.
*
Available to start immediately.
