We are working with a forward-thinking energy services company specialising in improving the efficiency, comfort, and sustainability of residential properties. Operating under the Governments ECO (Energy Company Obligation) scheme, this business deliver projects that make a tangible difference to household energy use and carbon reduction. Their services cover solar PV, energy storage, ventilation, and general electrical work, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer care.
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician with a particular interest and experience in solar PV systems, energy storage technologies, and residential ventilation solutions. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and commissioning electrical systems in domestic settings, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering a first-class service to our customers.
Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential properties.
* Install and commission solar PV systems, battery storage, and associated electrical equipment.
* Install and service ventilation systems, including extractor fans and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR).
* Conduct electrical testing, inspection, and certification in line with current regulations.
* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
* Work in compliance with the IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) and relevant health and safety requirements.
* Liaise with customers professionally and provide clear explanations of work carried out.
* Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
* MUST be willing to travel and stay away when required.
Essential Skills & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
* Proven experience working in domestic electrical installations.
* Knowledge and hands-on experience with solar PV systems and/or energy storage.
* Understanding of ventilation systems (extractor, positive input ventilation, MVHR).
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection) or equivalent.
Desirable
* MCS accreditation experience for solar PV installations.
* PAS2030 knowledge and ECO scheme familiarity.
* Battery storage installation certification.
* Previous experience working within government-backed energy efficiency schemes.
