Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Artworker on behalf of their client.
Joining their artwork department, they are a leading company that specialises in the supply of POS/POP within the temporary and permanent display industry.
The Job:
1. Knowledge of the latest version of Adobe CC, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat
2. Working closely with the Head of Artwork ensuring all jobs are completed on time.
3. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
4. Good knowledge and understanding of print prepress, preparing print ready PDFs for digital flat-bed and roll-fed printers is essential.
5. Taking direct briefs and amends from Account Managers. Adding artwork to technical drawings, creating bespoke prototype artwork, through to production lay-ups.
6. Prioritising prototype and production work when needed.
7. Gaining information on material spec and printing processes.
8. Supporting other colleagues in their role, by checking over work before print.
9. Assisting in supporting the Head of Artwork in down time and busy periods.
10. Capable of working multiple jobs at a time.
11. Working Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a 4pm finish on a Friday
12. Salary is negotiable, depending on your experience
Candidate requirements:
13. You will need to have 5+ years’ experience working in a Creative / artwork Studio
14. Experience in signage, retail graphics, POS, and displays sector is essential.
15. Creating cutter guides, adding artwork to development drawings, setting artwork for prototypes and laying up panels for production.
16. Proactive and self-motivated and able to work to multiple deadlines.
17. Careful and methodical, with good attention to detail.
18. Good verbal and written communication skills.
19. Good organisational skills.
