We are looking to appoint an Assembly Operative The Assembly Operative is responsible for assembling components for a variety of products. The goal is to ensure the effective and efficient build of products and the on-time delivery of quality items to customers, adhering to company processes, standards, and operating procedures. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and other manufacturing instructions to assemble products according to design specifications. Identify and pick the correct parts required Assembly of components and products to drawing and quality specifications outlined in the job pack Utilise a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to perform assembly tasks, such as drilling, riveting, and fastening components together. Inspect and test components and finished products to ensure that they meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements. Identify and report any defects or issues with components or products and work with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve them Meet daily and weekly targets and report progress daily to your line manager Carry out work with a focus on high quality output Consistently keep work areas organised, clean, and conducive to productive operations. Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes Assembly build work experience is desirable. Ability to understand and read engineering drawings is desirable. Experience with hand-powered tools is desirable. Precision and Accuracy: Delivers high production output with minimal waste through meticulous work. Manual Dexterity: Skilled in using machinery, hand tools, and handling small components with ease. Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude. Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy and a commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and use initiative to problem-solve.
