A rare opportunity to lead a progressive procurement partnership operating in an expanding healthcare market
The Managing Director role will build on the success of initial collaboration and is a key leadership role bringing together all procurement activity within the Partnership. The role will develop and deliver the procurement strategy and oversee the leadership of the newly formed NEL Health and Care Procurement Partnership team, leveraging spend and developing the team to deliver maximum value to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
The teams involved are energetic, committed and extremely professional group and you would be joining them at a truly pivotal time as we begin the next phase of our transformation in the Integrated Care System (ICS)
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting role for an ambitious candidate with strong commercial acumen and a track record gained in growing successful procurement teams in a comparably complex landscape.Operationally reporting to the CFO at Homerton Healthcare, but with a dotted line to all CFOs across North East London ICS, the role will be accountable for the delivery of the NEL Health and Care Procurement Partnership Business case, the 3 year roadmap with supporting organisation designs to successfully implement and evolve this transformation.

NHS providers in North East London have agreed to implement a procurement partnership shared service to deliver increased value through leveraging supplier spend and to support the development of an enhanced commercial offering to benefit taxpayers, patients and communities. The providers are Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospital NHS Trust, North East London NHS Foundation Trust, East London NHS Foundation Trust, North East London Integrated Care Board.
