Records Management & Data Governance Specialist - Financial Services - £700 per day (Outside IR35
The Records Management & Data Governance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that the organisation’s data and records are managed in line with regulatory obligations, internal policies, and industry best practices. This position will require close collaboration with stakeholders across the business to establish, maintain, and monitor governance frameworks that protect the integrity, accessibility, and security of information assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Records Management
2. Develops and maintains records management policies, procedures, and retention schedules.
3. Oversees the classification, storage, retrieval, and disposal of records in line with regulatory requirements.
4. Conducts periodic audits of records systems to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
5. Data Governance
6. Supports the implementation of data governance frameworks, standards, and controls across the business.
7. Partners with business units to define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability.
8. Monitors data quality, usage, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, FCA, PRA).
