About the Role

The Recruitment and HR Operations Coordinator plays a key role in delivering proactive, high-quality support to both the Recruitment and HR Operations team within the HR Directorate. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about people, service excellence, and making a positive difference to the employee experience at SOAS.

In this role, you'll provide a comprehensive, customer-focused HR administration service, ensuring our processes run smoothly and efficiently. From maintaining accurate records on our HR systems, preparing template letters, and carrying out audit checks, to supporting FOI and Data Protection requests, you'll be at the heart of our operational delivery. You'll also provide clear guidance to staff and managers on HR policies, procedures, and statutory requirements—helping to uphold high standards while looking for ways to make our processes even better.

You'll be joining a collaborative and supportive team that covers all aspects of recruitment and operational HR administration across the university. We partner with managers and HR colleagues to ensure seamless recruitment, selection, and contractual changes, while also managing the full employment lifecycle for every SOAS employee. Working closely with our Payroll and Pensions team, we make sure that every step—from joining to leaving—is handled with care, professionalism, and efficiency.

This is an exciting chance to grow your expertise, work alongside a welcoming team, and contribute to a modern, people-focused HR service that helps SOAS thrive.
