Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Obstetrics (Maternal Medicine) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a 10PA replacement post to provide high quality clinical care for patients presenting with a risk of preterm birth as well as general obstetric care.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will also be encouraged to have special interests in other areas for example: High risk pregnancy care, Obstetric scanning, Pre-term surveillance or Termination of pregnancy.
This post is associated with out of hours work as part of a 1:17 on-call cover over night and weekends.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
