Lecturer in Sociology (one‑year post)
The School of Social Sciences seeks to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Sociology for a one‑year temporary post. The successful candidate will join the Sociology team and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research activity, and the academic life of the discipline, including leading citizenship and academic activity where appropriate.

Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and support a rich student experience.
* Engage in research activity, publishing, and contributing to the research profile of the department.
* Participate in and provide academic service, including peer‑review, committees, and leadership opportunities.
* Lead or contribute to citizenship and academic initiatives within the school.
Qualifications
* PhD in Sociology or a cognate discipline.
* Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to high‑quality student experience.
* A developing portfolio of research publications and experience in academic service and leadership.
* Expertise in teaching sociological theory, public sociology, or the sociological study of welfare provision is particularly encouraged.
