Customer Delivery Driver, Supermarket Assistant
About the role
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. You'll embody our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation in a friendly environment. You must be 18 or older to qualify for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Start your day in-store, reviewing your delivery routes.
* Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
* Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
* Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
* Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
* Support shop tasks as needed.
Essential skills/experience
* Valid B-Category UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management.
* Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting crates and cages.
* Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literacy.
Desirable skills/experience
* Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
