HSEQ Manager
Location: Brigg, Lincolnshire
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:15am – 5:00pm & Friday, 8:15am – 1:00pm
Holidays: 25 days per year plus paid bank holidays
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and confident HSEQ Manager to promote and support a positive culture of health, safety, environment, and quality across the business. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving manufacturing environment where you’ll lead investigations, drive improvements, and ensure full compliance across all HSEQ activities.
You’ll be a proactive leader with strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a genuine passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage quality investigations (8D or similar)
Apply root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and DMAIC
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Communicate with customers regarding quality issues and attend site visits when required
Maintain and analyse quality records to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Produce and review Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices (SWPs)
Conduct COSHH assessments and manage compliance with Environmental Permit conditions
Carry out accident and near-miss investigations and oversee fire safety management
Facilitate HSEQ meetings and audits
Maintain and update training materials, procedures, policies, and the training matrix
Skills & Experience
Enthusiastic, motivated, and hands-on approach
Strong background in manufacturing, ideally in a fast-paced environment
Proven use of root cause investigation techniques such as 8D, 5 Why, and DMAIC
NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels
Confident IT user (Word, Excel, Email)
Experience leading HSEQ meetings and presenting data effectively
