Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our care home team specialising in senior care and assisted living. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive experience in nursing or home care environments, and a compassionate approach to supporting residents with dementia and Alzheimer's care. This role offers an opportunity to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality personalised care plans. Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
* Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance on delivering person-centred care tailored to individual needs.
* Lead and coordinate the development and review of personalised care plans for residents, including those requiring dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols, maintaining accurate records at all times.
* Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary.
* Support residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity.
* Assist in managing staffing rotas, recruitment, training programmes, and staff development initiatives.
* Foster a positive environment that promotes safety, respect, and inclusivity for residents and staff alike.
Skills
* Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, with specific expertise in senior care and dementia management.
* Strong leadership qualities with previous supervising or management experience within a care setting.
* Knowledge of care planning processes, medication administration, and regulatory compliance related to nursing or home care services.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
* Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members. .
* Ability to motivate staff whilst maintaining high standards of resident-centred care. This role is integral to maintaining our commitment to providing exceptional quality of life for our residents through compassionate leadership and expert oversight.

Pay: £24,420.00-£31,000.00 per year
