Animal Technicians – Permanent, Full‑Time
We are excited to be expanding our animal care team by recruiting two permanent, full‑time Animal Technicians. The successful candidate will be passionate about animal welfare and research excellence and will join an ambitious, forward‑thinking and vibrant multi‑species, multi‑site team at a leading research University.
Salary
£24,727 to £27,720 per annum pro‑rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Responsibilities
* Take independent responsibility for the welfare of the animals in your care.
* Contribute to the training of trainee and research staff as required.
* Ensure effective liaison with and support of Nottingham’s research community, including advising on welfare requirements and the 3Rs (replacement, reduction, and refinement).
Qualifications
* Hold the Institute for Animal Technology Level 2 Diploma or have equivalent experience.
* Have good communication and organisational skills.
* Be able to demonstrate a vocational and responsible approach to working with animals.
