Responsibilities
* Attend the relevant MDTs for each site.
* Provide full clinical care of patients with blood disorders, predominantly haematological malignancy.
* Offer specialist advice on all aspects of haematology to consultant colleagues within the Trust and Primary Care.
* Provide clinical support for the laboratories, particularly blood film reporting.
* Work at the County Hospital site one day per week, including one clinic.
* Take on leadership roles within 2 years of the post in the transplant programme and other areas as appropriate.
* Collaborate with local managers and professional colleagues in the efficient running of the Haemato‑Oncology service and share medical contribution of management.
* Observe the Trust’s agreed policies, procedures, standing orders and financial instructions.
