Description
Westfield House is looking to recruit a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the team. The service provides residential support for 22 males and females with mental health needs.
Located in Knowle, Bristol, Wells Road offers residential support for six females who are on the autism spectrum, have a learning disability or mental health needs. The service is on a main road, close to the city centre.
Our team is dedicated to providing the skills needed for our residents to live a healthier and happier life back in the community. We believe in effective communication, active listening, an open and honest approach, humour, empathy, and positive risk taking, in the least restrictive way possible.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team committed to our residents' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents.
* Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Participate in regular ward meetings and attend other meetings as requested.
* Assist in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.
* Assist in maintaining ward cleanliness and tidiness and adhere to infection control policies and procedures at all times.
