The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a 12.5% shift disturbance allowance, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000. Location : Lambeth Contract: 2 years Fixed Term The role of MO6 Public Order and Resources Command is to lead the MPS in putting the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time. We assist BCUs with duty planning and resource central aid on their behalf via the area resourcing hubs. We meet the requirements of the Event Command Teams whilst making sure each BCU has the staff it needs to operate effectively. The Role As a Resourcing Administrator Supervisor you will be responsible in delivering resourcing and duty planning support to ensure that the right officers with the right skills are allocated to public order, ceremonial, and central aid requirements, enabling the safe and effective delivery of policing across London. Acting as the first point of escalation for complex resourcing issues, you ensure the continuity of service and timely resolution of queries from Basic Command Units (BCUs) and Event Command Teams, whilst building effective working relationships across MO6, BCUs, and specialist units to balance operational demand with local resilience. Additional Information This is a 2 year Fixed Term Contract position. Hours per week 36. Shifts are on an 8-hour shift pattern covering hours from 0700 -2100 Mon -Fri. There is also a need for weekend cover which is currently 2 x 10-hour shifts, 0800-1800 Sat/Sun once every 6 weeks on average. This role is eligible for a 12.5% Shift Disturbance Allowance. Working for the Met doesn't have to mean patrolling the streets. Just as important as our uniformed officers is our 14,000-strong team of professional and support staff working behind the scenes. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate aid warnings and allocations by identifying officers with appropriate skills and experience, ensuring operational needs are met while maintaining local resilience. Manage and resolve resourcing queries from Basic Command Units, escalating complex issues to the Resourcing Sergeant as required, to maintain service continuity. Liaise with local Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs) to negotiate abstractions and resourcing solutions that represent best value for the organisation. Maintain collaborative relationships with local Operational Support (OS) teams to ensure smooth delivery of aid and event resourcing. Work with Operational Planning and the Real-Time Resources Desk to support responses to spontaneous public order or emergency demands. Oversee aid distribution decisions and coordinate specialist officer attachments (e.g. Police Search Advisors - POLSA), ensuring fair and effective deployment. Administer the Public Order Carrier and minibus fleet coordination process to maximise vehicle availability for operations. Handle sensitive personal information with discretion, ensuring compliance with data protection standards. Apply judgement in day-to-day resourcing decisions and determine which issues require escalation, ensuring decisions balance fairness, efficiency, and operational necessity. Deliver services electronically and by telephone with consistently high standards of written and verbal communication. Contribute as part of a team with shared workloads to ensure deadlines and operational requirements are met. Essential For The Role Essential skills and experience Understanding of duty planning, resourcing processes, and the operational requirements of a policing environment (or equivalent large-scale). Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear advice and manage sensitive queries. Ability to apply judgement to resourcing decisions within delegated authority set out in the Operating Manual. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and ability to adapt to a variety of corporate IT applications. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain positive working relationships across departments. Judgement skills to identify issues requiring escalation and resolve problems within set parameters Experience of working in an administrative or resource management environment.
