Job Description

Protocol Education is working with a large network of secondary schools across Bristol that are already planning ahead for September recruitment. We’re supporting schools across BS1, BS2, BS3, BS5, BS6, BS13 and BS14, with a range of opportunities for Science ECTs (with valid Qualified Teacher Status) looking to secure the right start to their teaching career.

Working closely with so many schools means we can give you early access to vacancies before they’re widely advertised, help arrange multiple interviews, and match you with schools that suit your teaching style, personality and career goals. After 20 working weeks, many of our ECTs move onto direct contracts with their placement school.

We’re recruiting for:

* Full-time and part-time Science teaching roles
* Permanent positions
* Long-term opportunities with potential to become permanent
* Roles across KS3 and KS4
* General Science and subject specialisms including Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Many schools are already arranging interviews and trial days before half term, and Science teachers continue to be one of the most in-demand subjects across Bristol secondary schools.

What you can expect

As a Science ECT, you’ll:

* Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Deliver practical and theory-based lessons that build curiosity and confidence
* Develop strong classroom routines and behaviour management
* Receive structured mentoring and ECT support
* Gain experience in schools with established departments and supportive leadership teams

Some schools are recruiting permanently from September, while others are offering long-term roles with the potential to move onto school contracts later in the academic year.
