About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established paint and bodyshop in Ascot for an experienced VDA (Vehicle Damage Assessor). This is a great opportunity for someone with strong estimating skills to join a professional and supportive team. This role may also suit candidates with experience as an Estimator, Vehicle Estimator, Automotive Damage Assessor, Bodyshop Estimator or someone from an insurance assessing background with relevant vehicle repair knowledge. What You’ll Do Assess vehicle damage accurately and efficiently Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry systems Liaise with technicians, customers and insurance companies Monitor repair progress and update estimates where needed Ensure all work meets industry and safety standards Support smooth workflow within the bodyshop What We’re Looking For Minimum 5 years’ experience as a VDA, Estimator or similar role Strong knowledge of vehicle repair methods and processes Experience using estimating software such as Audatex or similar Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Confident communication skills with both customers and colleagues ATA qualification would be an advantage but not essential Who Might Suit This Role This role would suit someone currently working as a Bodyshop Estimator, Vehicle Damage Assessor or Automotive Claims Assessor looking for a stable and rewarding position. It could also be a good fit for experienced Panel Beaters or Bodyshop Technicians who have moved into estimating or want to focus more on the assessment side of repairs. Candidates from accident repair centres, insurance engineering roles, or dealership bodyshops will also find their experience highly transferable.
