If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!Client Overview:Loom Talent has partnered with a well-known 3PL provider, renowned for delivering top-notch logistics solutions across sectors including FMCG, Retail, E-Commerce & Haulage.The company prides itself on delivering excellent service and is seeking a Transport General Manager - 3PL Contract Logistics to oversee the end-to-end group sector Transport function.The Role:As the Transport General Manager, you will oversee multi-site transport operations, managing a team of over 300 employees and 400 vehicles. Responsibilities include:Leading the national planning team of 6 experts.Managing Transport Health & Safety, Driver Training, and Risk Assessors.Handling an annual budget of approximately £50m.Leading operational H&S, compliance, and fleet maintenance across national transport.Optimising logistics operations through internal synergy and continuous improvement in an open book environment.Implementing best practices and utilizing TMS & Planning platforms effectively.Supporting individual development and providing growth opportunities.The Candidate:Ideal candidates will have:Essential experience in Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain.Essential CPC National / International qualification.5+ years of Transport General Management experience in a 3PL, FMCG, or Retail setting.Proven experience managing operations with headcount over 250 and assets over 350.Budget management experience of over £40m.A passion for people development, service excellence, and continuous improvement.Experience dealing with Unions (advantageous).Strong leadership skills and talent development abilities (essential).Lean Six Sigma or Prince2 certifications (advantageous).Must be able to commute to Northamptonshire 5 days a week (essential).
