Overview
Seeking an experienced HSE Leader to support and develop a medium-sized, fast-paced manufacturing site in Cheshire. The role focuses on ensuring the safety management system is robust, driving cultural change, and fostering a safety ownership mindset among the workforce.
Internally titled a Lead HSE Advisor, this position offers full creative control over site safety, reporting to the Factory Manager with a dotted line to the Cluster HSE Manager, who is very supportive. This role suits a proactive HSE professional with site management experience or an existing HSE manager seeking a new challenge. You will have the opportunity to shape safety practices and influence the future of HSE across the site.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and corporate standards.
2. Create and implement a 3 – 5 year HSE plan.
3. Collaborate with team leaders, factory managers, and stakeholders.
4. Support and promote a proactive safety culture where employees feel engaged and empowered.
5. Drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental standards.
6. Lead HSE projects across the site.
Essential Qualifications and Background:
1. NEBOSH Certificate at minimum.
2. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in food, drink, paper, or packaging sectors.
3. Experience managing site HS&E responsibilities.
4. Approachable and visible on site.
