Learning Facilitator – Free Learning Programme (Term Time)
6‑12 hours per week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, 9:30 am–3 pm.
Pay: £12.75 per hour.
Schedule: 3 days per week during school term time (Feb‑July & Aug‑Dec).
Responsibilities
* Lead on term‑time group education visits and deliver collection‑inspired creative workshops for learners from early years through to university stage.
* Lead educational visits with schools, universities and teacher CPD.
* Work independently.
* Contribute to and develop resources and lesson plans for our resource bank and educational visits.
* Oversee course content, ensuring it is recorded and saved.
* Order all learning resources as required.
* Contribute to evaluation reporting as required.
* Ensure learning activities are run safely in line with Jupiter Artland’s policies and procedures, including briefings for freelance staff and volunteers.
* Contribute to upkeep of Learning Classrooms and general maintenance, and report any issues to the grounds team as they arise.
* Assist and be present for Jupiter’s major annual events (Easter, Jupiter Rising, Halloween, Christmas Fair) unless otherwise agreed with line manager.
* Comply with Jupiter Artland’s policies and procedures as set out in the staff handbook including health and safety, equal opportunities and environmental sustainability.
* Attend and participate in staff meetings when requested.
* Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
* Undertake any additional tasks that may be reasonably required.
Requirements
* Candidate must complete a level 2 PVG check and register with Disclosure Scotland.
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
* Experience leading creative learning experiences.
* Experience of working with children with additional support needs.
* Knowledge and understanding of broader contemporary sculptural practices.
Desirable Skills
* Experience delivering creative learning within a schools or education setting.
* Qualification in creative arts degree or similar experience.
* Additional training in participation, child protection or similar skillset.
* Awareness of curriculum for excellence.
* Full UK Driver’s Licence.
