These placements are designed for students who have recently completed a relevant degree or those undertaking a required “year in industry” as part of their course — ready to turn their knowledge into real impact while growing alongside us.
This placement is subject to an enhanced DBS check (with Children’s Barred list)
Role: Paralegal Internship
Contract duration: 10 -11 months
Type: Internship
Hours: 3-4 days per week (9am-5pm)
Department: Legal
Location: Wrexham (various sites)
What you’ll be doing:
Our Work Placement programme is designed to offer participants hands-on experience of working in-house in a football club. You will gain a real-life insight into the life of a paralegal working in the sports sector across a variety of practice areas. Examples of the type of work you will be doing:
* Drafting: contracts, correspondence and presentations.
* Shadowing: meetings and calls.
* Research: into legal queries raised by various departments.
What we are looking for:
Undergraduate / SQE students who are passionate about pursuing a career in sports law. Skills that would be useful for the role:
* Excellent written/verbal communication
* Attention to detail
* A keen interest in a particular area of law
In-house legal departments cover a broad range of work. It would therefore be useful if you had experience in one or more of the following areas of law
* Commercial
* Sports
* Data protection
* Corporate
This internship provides a unique opportunity to work within a club that has captured global attention while remaining deeply connected to its community. Interns will gain hands-on experience, support key projects, and contribute to the continued growth and storytelling of Wrexham AFC.
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate curiosity, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills while working alongside professionals within one of football’s most exciting and ambitious clubs.
