Archbishop Runcie First School is seeking a part‑time, permanent School Business Manager.
We are a Church of England school with a small but dynamic community of highly motivated children and passionate staff. The role is suitable for an experienced School Business Manager or an experienced Admin Assistant with strong school experience and a good level of qualification. The successful candidate will work as part of the Senior Management Team and will handle a wide variety of financial, compliance and human resources tasks, as well as managing the admin staff, caretaking staff and wrap‑around staff.
Responsibilities and Key Duties
* Work successfully as a member of the Senior Management Team and manage a wide variety of people.
* Make challenging decisions and hold difficult conversations.
* Be motivated, committed and proactive in the face of challenge.
* Be organised, highly efficient and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* Have successful experience working in finance, ideally in an educational setting.
* Adapt practices and procedures to ensure best value for money.
* Support the vision and ethos of the school.
Additional Information
The post is customer‑facing and the successful applicant will be required to be at school for the total hours. Attendance at termly Governing Body Finance, Staffing and Premises Committee meetings, typically in the evenings, will be expected (overtime will be paid).
