About The Role This role will be training our learners on their higher apprenticeship programme in a classroom setting. You will plan and complete assessments for learners engaged on Apprenticeships for ICT Software, Web and Telecoms. A background in telecoms, Java, C++ programming would be ideal. We will consider candidates on a contract or permanent basis. About The Person Work with the Programme Manager to achieve agreed volumes of learner achievement in line with the business strategy and plans. Carry out high quality training for apprentices to ensure relevant technical units/qualifications are completed within agreed timelines. To be willing to travel dependent on business requirements for delivery. Liaise with assessors to ensure all apprentices have the required skills and knowledge to achieve the competence components of frameworks. Work with internal and external partners to ensure that agreed quality standards are met. Undertake additional projects and activities to meet the needs of the Apprenticeship team and learners as required. Ensure that programmes are delivered in accordance with the organisations Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies. Your Skills & Experience A Degree, Higher Education Qualification in ICT or significant industry experience in areas to be assessed is essential Willingness to gain qualifications deemed essential for a training role upon commencement of employment GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English at Grade C or above Good knowledge of Government funded Apprenticeship programmes is desirable Knowledge of the ICT Apprenticeship frameworks is desirable Knowledge of business requirements, processes and methodologies is essential Relevant teaching or training qualification (not essential) ICT Technical Systems and Networking, Telecommunications (not essential) Business and Administration skills Excellent communication skills Ability to identify individual learner needs and learning styles Ability to provide training and feedback in a way that motivates individual learners Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how these impact on the assessment process Ability to identify and help learners to overcome potential barriers to progress and achievement Working at all times lawfully and in accordance with our pre-defined regulatory, compliance and financial requirements e.g. Data Protection, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety.
