Salary: £27,626 per annum + benefits

Role
In this role, you will work with Curriculum staff to facilitate new learning workshops, overcome barriers and support learners to secure the best possible educational outcomes in maths and English.
Responsibilities
 * Drive individual learner progress in English and/or Maths skills in facilitated workshops and other support contexts, ensuring learners make consistently good progress against their starting points.
 * Provide ongoing support to students through approved support plans.
Working Pattern
 * Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
 * Friday: 08:30 – 16:30
Skills and Qualifications
 * Experience working with young people and understanding barriers that affect their achievement.
 * Successful experience of operational delivery through effective planning and monitoring of performance against action plans and targets, particularly with young people within education.
 * Proven experience of coaching/mentoring others to make successful progress in learning and facilitated group learning (e.g., workshops, classroom learning).
 * Holding a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or higher in one or both specialisms).
 * Advantageous to have a recognised teaching qualification, evidence of recent and relevant CPD, a degree level qualification and an online learning certification (e.g., Google Certified Educator).
 * Must be able to support across both English and Maths.
Department Information
You will be based at an assigned campus and line‑managed by the campus Maths and English Deputy Head of Department. You will collaborate with cross‑college teams including Vocational Teams, the Quality Team, the Additional Learning Support Team, the Exams Team and Library Staff.
