Job Description
What is the Opportunity?
The role involves joining our Global Onsite-Offshore Front Office Application Support team, providing support for commodities and Futures applications and their interfaces with various vendors, infrastructure, database, and more.
This role requires strong communication skills, regular interaction with business users, and good technical skills for daily support and business requests.
From mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors are expected to work in the office with some flexibility for remote work up to 1 day per week, depending on arrangements.
What will you do?
* Provide hands-on Level 2 support working with the global application support team.
* Support trading applications like commodities Openlink, SOA, Pricing Database, XTP, Seals, and other small applications used by the business.
* Work with senior management, business users, traders, quants, risk managers, and other groups globally. Identify operational risks and control deficiencies, ensure compliance with policies.
* Manage changes, incidents, problems, audits, batch monitoring, automation, BCP testing, infrastructure planning, and implementation.
* Coordinate with internal development teams and vendors to resolve support issues, find root causes, document processes, and prevent recurrence. Lead team efforts during incidents, hold review meetings, and track actions to closure.
* Provide updates to stakeholders, ensure systems meet quality standards, facilitate software rollouts.
* Prepare for planned maintenance, DR exercises, and major rollouts. Provide expertise and feedback for process improvements.
* Escalate operational risks and control issues promptly.
* Participate in rotating weekend on-call support for projects, DR tests, etc. Provide 24x7 support based on shifts.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
* Extensive IT experience and solid capital markets background.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
* Ability to work with front office business users.
* Experience in supporting large-scale production systems, monitoring, root cause analysis, and problem-solving.
* Knowledge of commodities and Futures trading activities, market data feeds, and applications like Openlink, XTP is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of ITRS Geneos, Job Scheduler (CTRL-M), Windows, Python, MQ, SOLACE, Oracle, SQL Server.
Nice to have:
* Understanding of ITIL processes.
* Knowledge of DevOps and Cloud technologies.
* Experience working in global support teams with onsite-offshore coordination.
* Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau.
