The Vacancy
We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Wates Construction Finance team, to support a range of activities within the Construction group.
We are looking for you to have worked in a similar role/environment and ideally be undertaking an accountancy qualification. You will also be competent using Excel with good attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
To be successful in the role as an Assistant Management Accountant, you will be a team player with excellent communications skills to effectively maintain internal and external relationships.
Key accountabilities for this role as an Assistant Management Accountant will include:
1. Process monthly cost recharges across contracts and overheads
2. Manage overhead costs; post month end prepayments, accruals, and late contract costs, summarising the monthly and year to date spend against budget
3. Update of fortnightly cashflow model for all cash account movements. Explanations of variances between actual and previous forecast where necessary. Update of forecast elements of monthly cashflow model
4. Production of monthly cost packs for sales and marketing
