About the role
As a Workday Business Analyst, you will support HR and business operations by managing stakeholder relationships and overseeing cyclical work and projects. Unlike traditional Business Analysts, your focus will be on understanding business needs and translating them into actionable plans without direct configuration within Workday. Your role involves liaising between stakeholders and technical teams to drive efficient Workday solutions.
You should have a strong understanding of Workday Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, ensuring alignment with payroll governance, statutory reporting, and cyclical activities like tax year-end processes. Our team operates within the Workday ecosystem, excelling in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and process improvement, particularly in payroll governance, compensation, and benefits.
What your days will look like
* Serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday Payroll, Compensation, Benefits modules, including Workday Extend applications.
* Maintaining a strong understanding of Workday capabilities and limitations.
* Collaborating with technical teams to ensure solutions are feasible and aligned with business goals.
* Staying current with Workday updates and enhancements to leverage new features.
* Understanding payroll governance, statutory reporting, and cyclical activities such as tax year-end processes.
* Having experience with Workday Compensation modules and running compensation review processes.
* Understanding Workday Benefits, including salary sacrifice benefits and pension schemes.
* Working with stakeholders to update them on new functionalities and releases, and finding practical solutions to optimize processes sustainably.
* Engaging with technical teams globally and offshore to ensure successful process delivery.
* Participating in projects as an SME, conducting impact assessments, and consulting on solutions.
This role is for you if
* You have proven experience as a Business Analyst, specifically with Workday or HRIS systems.
* You are experienced with Workday Compensation modules and review processes.
* You are familiar with Workday Benefits, salary sacrifice benefits, and pension schemes.
* Experience with Workday Extend application is desirable.
* You possess strong project management skills and can handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* You have an analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of Alteryx for data analysis and process improvement is advantageous.
* Understanding of HR and payroll processes and best practices is preferred.
* You understand payroll governance and statutory reporting.
* You enjoy teamwork and working independently.
