Production and Fulfilment Operations Manager
* Location: London, NW6 (Primary), occasional travel to Ledbury, Herefordshire
* Job Type: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract (with potential to extend)
* Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Join our team as a Production and Fulfilment Operations Manager, overseeing and optimising our fulfilment and print production processes at our London Head Office and coordinating with our larger warehouse in Ledbury.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage and supervise a small team in production and fulfilment tasks.
* Develop and oversee production schedules to ensure timely completion of print jobs.
* Refine warehouse and printing processes, identifying areas for efficiency improvements.
* Oversee shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in order processing.
* Facilitate communication between locations regarding logistics, including coordination with our painting studio in Wuxi.
* Maintain accurate stock control for raw materials and finished products.
* Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for printing operations.
* Ensure compliance with fire rating and safety regulations for production materials.
* Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies for timely delivery of goods.
* Prepare reports on production and fulfilment operations for management review.
* Travel to the Ledbury site approximately once every two weeks for coordination tasks.
* Assist in loading large rolls onto large format printers.
* Ensure that warehouse staff comply with health and safety regulations and undertake mandatory training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in production scheduling.
* Fulfilment or logistics experience is preferable.
* Strong team management skills to lead and motivate staff in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
* Knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software.
* Experience with printer operations and maintenance is desirable.
* Understanding of fire rating and compliance standards for production materials is ideal.
* Ability to lift large, heavy wallpaper rolls.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
