Job Summary
Heacham Group Practice is looking for a salaried GP to join our team for 6 sessions per week. The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic, highly organized, motivated, forward‑thinking, and must share our passion for delivering high‑quality, personalised care to our patients. Responsibilities
* Undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visit patients at home, check and sign repeat prescriptions, and manage paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion.
* Make professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting medical problems, whether self‑referrals or referrals from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
* Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Develop care plans for health consultation with patients in line with current practice disease‑management protocols.
* Provide health education.
* Record clear consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collect data for audit purposes and comply with QOF requirements.
* Deliver enhanced services.
* Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* Involve in surgery quality improvement, educational meetings and clinical governance including QOF achievement.
About Us
Heacham Group Practice is a long‑established, friendly GP Practice with two surgeries at Heacham and Snettisham, providing excellent quality healthcare for approximately 7,600 patients. We receive overwhelmingly positive comments through Friends and Family tests and perform above the national average for the National General Practice Patient Survey. Our clinical team includes two GP partners, salaried GPs, an ANP, and a skilled nursing team including a nurse practitioner, specialist nurses and HCAs. We are supported by an experienced administrative team and a dedicated, supportive work environment. We collaborate with physiotherapists, the frailty team, and a social prescriber through our Coastal PCN. We are proud to be a training practice for GP registrars. Our clinical system is SystmOne, and we also utilise AccuRx to support our processes.

Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
* Listed on the NHSE medical performers list.
* Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, primary prevention, and screening services.
* Ability to take responsibility for own career development, learning, and performance, ensuring all mandatory training is current.
* Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g., prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
* Commitment to life‑long learning and audit to ensure evidence‑based best practice.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
Additional Information
The post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required to confirm no previous criminal convictions. Applications requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK will also be considered alongside other applications.
